A World of Choices

No matter which track you choose, you will learn the fundamentals through introductory courses. If you are admitted through School-based Admissions, you will also benefit from a specially designed course which seeks to familiarize you with various engineering disciplines and their connections with the emerging technologies of AI. On the other hand, if you are admitted directly to one of our departments, you will acquire a deeper understanding of that discipline and be empowered to choose between the programs offered by the same department later. The broad-based, student-centered curriculum allows you to take additional major programs, minor programs, or dual degree programs involving both engineering and non-engineering areas. Students who transfer a substantial number of credits at the time of admissions may be able to graduate in less than four years. SENG also offers the Integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s Pathway, which enables students to start completing Master of Science courses as early as their final year of undergraduate studies and enjoy a reduction in tuition fees for the Master’s program.

Dual Track Admissions The Dual Track Admissions Framework provides two entry points for your SENG journey. If you wish to explore different engineering disciplines and respective AI applications, you should choose the School-based Admissions Track and opt for Engineering with Extended Major in AI when applying, before declaring your major(s) at the end of Year 1. If you have a clear idea about what major or engineering field you would like to pursue, choose the Department-based Admissions Track and start working toward your goal right from the beginning.
