Entrepreneurship Whether you aspire to invent unmanned drones or revolutionize healthcare with AI, HKUST is the launchpad for your entrepreneurial ambition. You can get a taste and hone your skills with the Minor in Entrepreneurship, while our mature startup ecosystem provides the expertise, financial backing, and industry networks necessary for success.
Community Outreach We encourage our students to share their engineering knowledge with the wider community. Members of the student-led STEAM Tutor Team spark curiosity in high school students with hands-on projects. Student Innovation for Global Health Technology (SIGHT) combines course work, team projects, and overseas study trips, empowering our students to create sustainable solutions for tackling healthcare problems in resource-poor communities.
Peer Mentoring Our senior year engineering students are “Learning to Teach, Teaching to Learn”. Having gone through coaching in well- designed workshops, they provide peer mentoring support to freshmen. The Peer Mentoring Program helps senior students reflect on their experiences and convert them to useful advice and guidance to freshmen, assisting them in their transition to university life.
