JUPAS applicants applying to HKUST are expected to satisfy the University’s general admissions requirements of four core subjects and two elective subjects with minimum attainment levels of “332A33”, and speciic requirements set out by individual Schools or programs on subjects and subject attainment levels (if any). 2024 JUPAS ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS, SCORE CALCULATION AND SUBJECT WEIGHTING

INTERVIEW AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS, SCORE CALCULATOR AND REFERENCE SCORES:

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 4C + 2X (4 core subjects plus 2 electives), or 4C + 1X + M1 / M2 (4 core subjects + 1 elective, plus Mathematics Extended Part Module 1 or Module 2) Elective subjects refer to Category A subjects. Grade C or above in Category C subject can count as 2 nd Elective (for some programs).

NON-CHINESE SPEAKING STUDENTS: Students meeting speciied circumstances set out by EDB may use alternative Chinese (i.e. Grade E / Grade 2 or above in a GCSE / IGCSE / GCE Chinese Language subject), HKDSE Other Language Subject (Grade E or above) or HKDSE Applied Learning Chinese subject (Attained or above) to satisfy the University's Chinese language requirement.

The speciied circumstances are: a) Students who have learned Chinese Language for less than 6 years while receiving primary and secondary education; or b) Students who have learned Chinese Language for 6 years or more in schools, but have been taught an adapted and simpler curriculum not normally applicable to the majority of students in local schools.
