WE ARE FLEXIBLE AND INTERDISCIPLINARY At HKUST, we provide you with the lexibility to choose your programs. While you can directly apply to some of the programs at the application stage, you may apply to the School of Science, School of Engineering, or School of Business and Management irst and decide on your major at the end of the second semester in Year 1 or the irst semester in Year 2. Apart from the major programs from an individual School, you can also enroll in joint programs, interdisciplinary programs, extended majors and minor programs.

Broad-based Curriculum Students can expand their intellectual horizons in a diverse set of subjects while gaining speciic skills and knowledge in their chosen area of specialization.

Cross-disciplinary Programs With four Schools and an Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies, HKUST ofers undergraduate programs in Science, Engineering, Business and Management, Humanities and Social Science as well as cross-disciplinary areas.

EXTENDED MAJORS Blending traditional programs with trending topics, the extended majors allow students to graduate with a title bearing both the selected traditional major and the extended major, all within their normal duration of study.

DIGITAL MEDIA AND CREATIVE ARTS (DMCA)

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) A cross-disciplinary and practical program that o�fers solid knowledge in your major, along with innovative applications of AI in your major areas.

Integrating creative arts and digital media in the world of rapidly changing technologies, students can study the two areas in an interdisciplinary program framework.

American Patterned System (SAT/ACT/AP)

ACT (in one sitting) with composite score of 27 or above; OR SAT total score of 1,290 or above; AND (i) American College Board Advanced Placement (AP) in three subjects, each with a score of 3 or above; OR (ii) Three SAT Subject Tests, each with a score of 600 or above (Pre-July 2021).
