MINOR IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP A structured program to help business students’ dream take flight. The courses guide students through identifying innovation opportunities, analyzing industrial landscapes and refining business models for their future startups. In partnership with the School of Engineering and the School of Science, the program also lets our students explore High-Tech and IT Entrepreneurship. INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP FUNDS The newly established HKUST Red Bird Innovation Fund , a HK$500 million initiative, aims to create multiple Venture Investment Funds totaling HK$2 billion through partnerships to bolster HKUST start-ups and foster global innovation. The University has also allocated HK$100 million to support early-stage entrepreneurship within the HKUST community, offering up to HK$5 million per start-up for research, development, and business/marketing initiatives. ENTREPRENEURSHIP COMPETITIONS For students who are ready to pitch their new business ideas, the HKUST One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition provides them with a valuable chance to work on their ideas and to win seed money for their startups. Joining our HackUST , the largest university hackathon in Asia, students have the opportunity to put their boldest thoughts into action and to learn from peer teams. START-UP FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE A start-up-friendly environment with workshops and seminars for students to meet business pioneers.
